The aim of this project is to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and to promote the economic self-sufficiency of the exiled Tibetan community.

The commemorative gold coin is planned to be marketed by the Executive Committee of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's 60th Anniversary Commemorative Gold Coin Project. The Gold Coin has the official guarantee of by the Tibetan Government-in-Exile and is approved by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

(1) The main aims of this project

1. To commemorate the 60th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama,
        to further strengthen the unity of the Tibetan people and to realise
        the future vision of Tibet and Tibetans.

2. To appeal to the world that the Tibetan Government in exile is actively functioning and
        that it is carrying out efforts to make the exiled Tibetan community self-sufficient.

3. The profits from the sale of the gold coins will be used towards the development of
        small scale industries in the Tibetan settlements in India and help to
        become economically self-sufficient in the long run.

2. The period for receiving advance orders is preferably end of January 996 but no later
        than 15 February 1996. Since only a limited number of gold coins
        will be sold, advance orders will not be received once this number is achieved.

3. The Commemorative Gold Coins will be delivered to the buyers from March 1996.

4. Official Receipts will be send for all payments received.
